Joshua Bridge Obituary

Joshua Wayne Bridge, 34, of Lebanon, ME, succumbed to his injuries from a dirt bike accident on April  15, 2024. He fought a good fight, but in the end, it was just too much for even him to overcome.

Joshua was born November 21, 1989 in Dover, NH, the son of Wayne Hartley Bridge and Barbara Ann Hoffman.  He was a 2008 graduate of Noble High School in North Berwick. In his youth, he loved being involved in the Die-Hard wrestling organization where he was a pee-wee State champion and a New England Champion.  He was always willing to coach one of Mason’s sports teams though he may not have had much of a background in the sport.

Josh was extremely athletic and excelled at riding his dirt bike. His KTM was his baby, he never left a speck of dirt on her.  He could often be found participating in Enduro 100-mile races, practicing his mile long wheelies or just riding with his son, Mason, and friends on the many trails in the area.  Besides his dirt bike, he enjoyed skydiving, hunting, fishing, snowboarding and was a complete dancing fool.

Josh would spend his Saturdays at the YMCA bike park in Sanford pulling his tools out of his less than pristine car to make needed repairs to the kids’ bikes.  He was the first person to help a friend move and would sleep on the floor if the paint job wasn’t quite done yet.  Anyone who knew Josh for more than a hot minute knew he was always up for a good time.  He’d call his cousins at 5AM to see if they wanted to go clamming or wear a dress and have his nails done so he could join in on the girls only weekend. Josh was known as the baby whisperer and the family has many pictures of him holding a sleeping infant.

Josh will be forever loved and missed by his son, Mason Bridge of Berwick; mother, Barbara Bridge of Lebanon; father Wayne Bridge of North Berwick; grandparents Don and Edna Bridge of North Berwick; 2 brothers, Maxwell Bridge and wife Michelle of Reno, NV, Benjamin Bridge and fiancé Teanna Bagley of Lebanon; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and too many friends to list. A special thank you to all of those who were by Josh’s side for the past year and a half. You have no idea the difference you made.

A celebration of Josh’s life will be held on April 27, 2024 at 2pm  at the Center Lebanon Congregational Church followed by a gathering at his childhood home. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Center Lebanon Congregational Church’s building fund.
